I just put in an order for 10 lbs of paperclay. YIPPIE!!! Now I just have to not drive myself and my wonderful hubbahubby crazy while I wait for it to get here. 10 whole pounds of lovely, smooshy clay to play with! I can hardly wait! Yes, I'm this bad at Christmas as well. Can hardly control the urge to peek, poke and shake the presents under the tree.
Okay, I'll be good, I'll be patient, I'll ...... I'll ....... I'llll ..... is it here yet?

Halloween cat in paperclay - finished
After a few days of not feeling so great I finally got my little kitty finished. I'm calling this one "Boo and friend". The sculpture is 5 1/2" tall so you can imagine how much fun the little mouse was to sculpt.
I'm really liking paperclay and am going to order a bunch of it soon. (So many ideas popping into my brain!)
Thanks for looking!

More Halloween Kitty and a friend
I've gotten most of the sculpting done on my little kitty, only one more thing to add and that's going to be a surprise.
Here's another piece I started then stuck up on a shelf while trying to decide how to finish him. I have a few ideas so I took him down and will try to get him finished in the next few days. This is my "After Easter" bunny ..... hehe.

Halloween Kitty WIP
I love how other artists share WIP's of their work. I usually don't but decided that perhaps someone out there in the vast darkness of cyber space might like to see what's cooking in my head while it's cooking.

I'm in the process of finishing her toes. I still need to decide what to do with the top of her head. I sculpted a witch's hat and although I think the hat turned out nicely it was a bit too big for this kitty. I'll use the hat on something else later, it really did turn out nice.
Those sparkly green stones in her collar are real peridot. I love embedding semi-precious stones in my polymer work and decided to see how it would look in a paperclay sculpt. I love it and will probably use the technique on future pieces.

Steampunk Zombie
I love steampunk and I love creepy zombies. I've been wanting to do something "steampunky" but just couldn't think of a thing. So a swift kick to my lazy muses tush and this is what popped into my head. (Sometimes ya just have to get a little demanding of those muses.)
