I love to trade
A very talented young crafter who goes by the name AmbjerKnits wanted a set of my Zombie parts stitch markers. I offered to trade her a set for a pair of her yummy fingerless mitts. She was kind enough to say yes and we both got busy making the others items for the trade. She made me this set.

They are warm and soft and keep my hands toasty warm while I type. (My fingers get cold and a little stiff when I sit at the computer too long this time of year.)
If you get a chance go check out her flickr page, she makes some beautiful items and well, she's just a really nice young lady.

Funniest man on the planet
Normally I only post links to artists that created paintings or sculptures and such but I have just got to share this with all of you. This man is truly an artist of words. Every time I read his blog I laugh so hard my face hurts and my hubbahubby is convinced another marble has gone missing.
fuggettaboutit
Do not miss this one, he is without question one of the funniest bloggers I've come across.

Snowman and Cardinal ornament
Sometimes things just all come together and you feel all is right with the world. That's how I feel about this Snowman ornament I just finished. It just all came together, no fuss, no muss and I'm a very satisfied artist right now.

Everytime I look at him he makes me giggle.
You can find this in my Etsy shop
SOLD and on it's way to it's new home (waves byebye)

Jester Moon ornament
Funny how you start out to create something one way and it ends up turning out completely different than what you had in mind. I have told people in the past that when I'm sculpting it's almost as if I step out of my body and am watching the process as an onlooker. I think this is when my muse has her way and she and the art just do whatever they want.
That's what happened with my newest ornament. It's so far from where I thought I'd go with it that I must have not only stepped out of my body, I left the room completely.

You can find this in my Etsy shop

I've entered a contest
I have a favor to ask all of you. I entered one of my ornaments in a contest being held by Michaels Craft stores and I need votes. The grand prize is a trip for 2 to New York to see The Martha Stewart Show.. Would you all mind giving my ornament a rating? Also, would you mind passing this on to everyone you know and asking them to vote for me as well? Thank you so very much.

Let it snow, let it snow, let it snow
I just finished 2 new snowman ornaments. They're both sculpted in paper clay and then painted with arcylics and protected with a polycrylic finish. The one with the tophat is sporting real cranberry pearls on his hat. I think they make perfect holy berries, don't you?

You can find these in my Etsy shop
Hmmmm, I'm thinking I need to update my blog design to match the season or at least change the music ... lol
