A Few WIP's

I've been working on several larger pieces over the last few weeks. It's been slow going, first I was sick for a week .... yuck. Then it rained, and rained, and rained and is still raining. We've had rain almost every day for 2 weeks. This weekend my hubbahubby and I are going on a tiger hunt in our backyard. In it's previous life my studio was once an attached garage. Before we bought the house it apparently had a fire in it and the previous owner apparently remodeled the house and he apparently didn't know what the hell he was doing because when it rains and rains and rains my "studio" leaks water under the walls and makes neat little rivers that head straight for the drain that, thankfully, the previous owner did not remove. I do not like working in my studio when it rains so I haul bits and pieces to my dining room and living room to work but, ugh, it ain't easy folks.

Here is my Blue Moon at it's painting stage. It's just too big to work on anywhere but my studio so I've had to put the painting on hold. My friend Sandy is chomping at the bit for me to get it done. Sorry Sandy, as soon as the sun decides to show his face again I'll finish your moon and get it over to you.

I've been wanting to do an owl for halloween but I can never seem to do anything "normal". My quirky sense of humor took over again .... lol. Yes, he is holding a piece of pie. Why? You'll have to wait till it's finished to know what's up with the pie.

I'm working on a scarecrow. Don't mind the tape, it's only temporary while I figure out what I want to do about his legs. Yea, I'm one of those fly by the seat of my pants artists. I get an idea and then dive into the sculpting while working it out in my head. Very rarely do I try to sketch out things first.

This is one of my "Weird ways we die" dolls. His head and hands are polymer clay but I'm going to finish his body in Paperclay. I guess it's okay to do that. If not, oh well, I'm doing it anyway! :)

Thanks for stopping by and taking a peek at my wip's. Feel free to leave me a comment, I love reading what you all have to say.
